I would like to comment on question 9 on the Of Mice and Men homework assignment. There are some examples of foreshadowing that I noticed. 1. Curley's glove signifies how his hand will not stay safe. 2. The way that Lennie killed the mouse signifies the way he kills Curley's wife. 3. Carlson shooting Candy's dog signifies Lennie's death because they are both so weak. I would also like to comment on whether or not Lennie should be held responsible for breaking Curley's hand. In my personal opinion, I think that he shouldn't be held responsible because Curley had no right to do what he did to Lennie just because he's the son of the boss.
I really enjoyed reading this book even though it did have a really sad ending. The ending, actually, was the most surprising to me and the part I disliked the most. I did not expect George to shoot Lennie! Yes, it was foretold, but I didn't know that until I read the questions. I didn't like how George could use Lennie's trust as a way to kill him.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
